Corrections

How to ask iGaming News Gods to correct an error, what we need from you, and how corrections and updates are marked on our stories.

Updated

We aim to be accurate, and when we are not, we correct the record openly.

How to request a correction

Message @iggteam on Telegram with:

  1. the link to the story, data page, tracker or market hub;
  2. what you believe is wrong; and
  3. a source that shows the correct information, such as a regulator's notice, a court document or a company's own announcement.

You do not need to be named in the story to report an error. We review every request against the sources.

How corrections are marked

  • Corrections. If a story contained a factual error, we fix it and add a dated note at the end of the story saying what was wrong and what we changed. We do not quietly remove errors.
  • Updates. If a story changes because there is new information, such as a regulator's later statement, we update it and change the "Updated" time shown on the story. Where the update changes the meaning of the story, we say so in the text.
  • Data and trackers. If a figure on a data page or tracker is wrong, we fix the row so that it matches the regulator's publication and keep the link to that publication.
  • Removal. We remove a story only in rare cases, for example for legal reasons. When we do, we say so where the story used to be.

What we do not change

We do not change or remove accurate reporting because a company or individual would prefer it was not published, and we do not accept payment to alter coverage. See our editorial policy and ownership disclosure.
