Key facts
  • The Philadelphia 76ers signed a multi-year deal naming Kalshi their Official Prediction Market Partner.
  • No NBA franchise had previously appointed a partner in this category.
  • The NBA designated Kalshi and Polymarket as Preferred Prediction Market Exchanges in October.

Kalshi has been named Official Prediction Market Partner of the Philadelphia 76ers under a multi-year agreement, according to Focus Gaming News. No other NBA franchise has previously appointed a partner in this category.

The deal follows the league's own arrangements with Kalshi and Polymarket, announced in October. Operators and suppliers weighing US sports sponsorships will need to track how team-level deals sit alongside the league's integrity conditions.

What happened

Under the agreement, Kalshi gets exposure at the team's arena and across its digital channels, among them the 76ers app, mobile ticketing and other platforms the team owns. Content planned includes social media initiatives such as monthly fan voting on the team's Top Plays.

Kalshi will also be presenting partner of Sixers Posters, a digital art series built around work by Philadelphia-based artists and creators with ties to the city.

The team deal builds on the league-level agreements:

  • The NBA designated Kalshi and Polymarket as its Preferred Prediction Market Exchanges in October.

Under the agreements, Kalshi and Polymarket can use league intellectual property and also receive marketing and promotional activation opportunities across US media channels.

Why it matters

Operators and affiliates working in US sports will need to check how team-level prediction market sponsorships interact with the league's integrity terms.

The move also adds a new category to team sponsorship inventory. Until now, the sources describe league-level designations only; a franchise-level appointment could show prediction market operators using rights packages, arena presence and app placements. Sportsbook operators and media buyers could face more competition for team-owned digital placements and fan engagement properties.

Suppliers and payment providers that serve US sports operators may also need to review how their own contracts and branding rights interact with a prediction market partner appearing on team-owned platforms. Where a sportsbook already holds team or arena rights, operators could find that the new category sits alongside existing agreements and prompts a review of exclusivity terms. Affiliates and media buyers that work with fan engagement content, such as social media initiatives and app placements, may see more of that inventory reserved for the partner, which could change how they plan campaigns around the team's channels. Compliance teams are likely to want clarity on how team-level activations fit within the league's conditions before committing budget. Operators weighing similar sponsorships could treat the 76ers agreement as a reference point when assessing rights packages, though the terms of the deal have not been disclosed in the story.
